Shoebat Saga: The Reckoning

    Before I begin taking apart and mocking this addlepated imbecile, I would first like to emphasize that this guy, as well as everyone else who shares his hateful, two-faced mindset, does not represent all Christian followers. I know that a good many religious practitioners on here are very reasonable, open-minded, friendly people who can handle disagreement and engage in rational discussion. This is also not directed to anyone specific on DeviantArt, I'm just stating my opinions and reminding everyone that it's not just SJWs and regressive leftists that we need to watch out for.
    
    Meet Theodore Shoebat. His father, Walid Shoebat, is a Palestinian American whose mother converted from Islam to Christianity. Walid alleged that he used to be a Palestinian Liberation Organization member and a Muslim before he converted to Christianity. However, he and his son have proven that they're still religious fanatics who support violence against "non-believers", it's just Christian fanaticism instead of Islamic jihadism. Both of them run a website called Shoebat.com, which focuses primarily on fighting Islamic jihadism, as well as persecution of Christians all across the world. However, much of what they write is very biased, focusing almost entirely on cases of Muslims, atheists, and Hindus persecuting Christians, while they themselves are very much against any religion that isn't Christianity. I'm going to illustrate why these myopic morons are hypocritical ideologues, and why even fellow Christians are distancing themselves from these maniacs.

    On their website, Ted has written multiple articles decrying the violence, censorship, and forced conversions that Christians face at the hands of radical Hindus, radical atheists, and Muslims all across the globe. Before I continue, I want to make one thing perfectly clear: I am an atheist, and I believe that religion can be a dangerous tool to brainwash or censor people if put in the hands of corrupt or unstable individuals. With that said, I also believe that persecuting or killing people because of their religious beliefs (regardless if they're Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist) or lack thereof is totally unacceptable. I have no qualms about criticizing Muslim terrorism and ensuring that Sharia is not enacted in Western countries. Why? Because I cherish the First Amendment.
        
    "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free                                   exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to                       assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
    
    However, Ted and his dear old dad have illustrated some disturbing similarities to the Muslim jihadists they oppose, as much as they want to deny it.  In one video he posted on YouTube, Theodore has stated that he wishes for the United States to be a theocracy where those who don't submit to Christianity would be exiled or even put to death. He also advocates for abolishing freedom of religion and freedom of speech, calling for books written by atheists such as Christopher Hitchens or Sam Harris to be banned and thrown in a bonfire. He even goes so far as to state that if he had the power, he would invade India, force all Hindus to convert Christianity, and have yoga studios in the U.S. shut down by SWAT teams. Hm, now what other major religious group calls for blasphemers or apostates to be put to death, and abolishes religious freedom and free speech? Take a guess!
       
        Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been                 forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." 
     Sahih Bukhari (2:24) - "Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people                         until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives and property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."

    So basically, you want to replace Islamic caliphates with Christian theocracy; "I don't want Sharia law dictating how our country runs because it's inhumane, we should turn these countries into a theocracy where society is dictated almost entirely by the Old Testament, anyone who disagrees with our religion is evil and should be executed." NO. No, no, no, absolutely not. 

    For all of his outrage against Christians being mistreated for openly practicing their faith, he doesn't seem to pay much attention to the fact that in Bangladesh, there is a growing number of atheist or secular bloggers and writers who are being attacked or murdered by Islamic fundamentalists. Why? Because they dared to criticize religion and advocated for a secular society that prioritizes basic human rights over superstition.
I looked on the website, and while there is plenty of mention of Bangladeshi Muslims attacking and killing Christians and even some Buddhists, I didn't see them mention anything involving mention of attacks against atheists or secularists by Muslims. It seems that Teddy and his stooges (oops, I mean friends) his values only if he agrees with someone's ideology. Don't believe me? In January 2015, French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo was attacked by an Islamic terrorist, resulting in the deaths of 12 people. Simply because they satirized and criticized Islam and the Prophet Muhammad. Ted responded that "the journalists of Charlie Hebdo hated God and Christianity, so why should we all of a sudden identify ourselves with deviants and blasphemers? The devil is extremely adaptable. He will have Muslims murder blasphemers, and then have a Christian nation such as France identity itself with the blasphemers. The devil shape-shift, and will become whatever you want him to become just to get you to leave Christianity, and to desert the spiritual battlefield." Why? Because Charlie Hebdo was also notorious for satirizing Christianity, which Ted found offensive. Never mind that 12 people were fucking murdered because of a harmless cartoon they drew, it's ok for them to criticize a religion as long as it's not your religious sensibilities being mocked.
    
    This is only going to get worse from here on in, folks. It's going to be a long one, so I'm posting this as part 1 and finishing it in 1 or 2 more posts.
